Our Vision
‘Setting sail on life’s journey with an anchor to keep us safe, sails to let us fly and God to calm the storms along the way.’ Luke: Chapter 8
Aims:
- As a Church of England School near the sea in Cornwall, we aim to inspire our children through the beauty of creation
- The school is in the centre of a coastal community and promotes strong links with the Parish
- We support the provision of inclusive, broad and balanced curriculum, recognising the individuality of each child and fostering tolerance and mutual respect for all members of society and all faiths
- We aim to instil Christian beliefs and values as our children set sail on their own life’s journey
Every single child gets every single chance to succeed.
Setting Sail on Life’s Journey ….
With an anchor to keep us safe
We believe all children are entitled to be a part of a safe, welcoming, nurturing school community, where every single child is given support, encouragement and every opportunity to learn. Children will believe in themselves, through a strong, positive mindset and work ethic and so, will be successful. (Wisdom)
Sails to let us Fly
We are determined all children will experience high quality teaching and learning that develops their curiosity, resilience and aspirations. Children will have the skills and determination to achieve within and beyond our challenging curriculum. (Aspiration)
And Jesus, God’s son to calm the storms along the way
We want all children at Grade Ruan to love learning; feel challenged and successful; and be confident and active members of the community. They will develop the academic, social and life skills that they need to thrive throughout their school career and their lives. (Relationships and Respect)
